Angie Tunstall Biography

Angie TunstallAngie completed a Batchelors Degree in Theology and graduated from Spurgeons College in June 2006.

Reflecting on the gospel of the kingdom and the lifestyle of Jesus, Angie's understanding of mission and evangelism is encapsulated in the coined phrase BDS: Being, Doing & Saying - and her gifting is at its best when she is allowed first to be, then maybe to do and sometimes to say…

Angie’s personal vision for her role with Synergy is …

  • To contribute to the building and stabilising of strong urban church communities and to help to reduce the sense of isolation felt by those in urban ministry.
  • To contribute to holistic mission – including influencing and involvement in local communities beyond the walls of the church
  • To develop chaplaincy work in the community.
  • To see a suburban church influenced, affected and changed by its service with and to urban communities.

She is challenged by Stephen Ibbotson, the Chair of Synergy, in his commitment to countering social, economic and cultural factors, as he continually asks if Synergy will establish a national model for urban and suburban churches serving communities together.
